Annette Werberger
Annette Werberger is Professor of Comparative Literature (especially Eastern European Literature) at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt/Oder, Germany. She is a Board Member of the Viadrina Center B/Orders in Motion and is in charge of the Young Researcher Groups and the Promotion of Early Career Scholars program. She received her PhD in Slavic Literature from the University of Tuebingen and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Konstanz. She has published on the poetics of Osip Mandelstam, on folklore and ethnography, and on Russian, Yiddish, Polish, and Austrian literatures. Her main topics are world literature as entangled literature, jewish cultures in Eastern Europe, folklore, and literary primitivism.
